Thailand participated in the ASEAN-Russia meeting to discuss cybersecurity and enhance cooperation in technology security among ASEAN member countries and Russia.

Major General Teerawut Wittayakorn, Deputy Secretary-General of the NCSA, headed the Thai delegation at the 4th ASEAN-Russia Dialogue on ICT Security-related Issues held in Sochi, Russia. The Thai delegation included representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with participants from ASEAN member states, Russia, and the ASEAN Secretariat also in attendance.

The meeting discussed international engagements such as the ARF Intersessional Meetings on Security of and in the Use of ICTs, the UN Open-ended Working Group (OEWG) on Security of and in the Use of ICTs 2021-2025, and the outcomes of the UN Ad Hoc Committee to Elaborate a Comprehensive International Convention on Countering the Use of ICTs for Criminal Purposes. Additionally, discussions focused on potential collaborations in ICT security between ASEAN member countries and Russia.
